ABOUT US
Color The Block is a dynamic community-driven organization dedicated to uplifting underserved and underrepresented communities, particularly youth and families, in the Sacramento area.
Through a holistic approach that integrates art, culture, education, and advocacy, Color The Block fosters a healthier, more equitable society by providing access to creative, educational, and environmental programs. We operate with the belief that collective action, creative expression, and hands-on learning experiences are powerful tools for social change.
OUR FOUNDER - MORGAN BROWN
Morgan Brown is a dynamic advocate for health equity, community empowerment, and social justice. With over five years of experience as a certified HUD Housing Counselor, Morgan has dedicated herself to helping low-income and underserved families navigate financial literacy and achieve homeownership. Her work with the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) has been instrumental in advocating for equitable access to affordable housing.
As the Founder and President of Color The Block, she leads initiatives that empower youth and foster creativity in underserved communities, particularly through the launch of the South Central Sacramento Community Garden Initiative and a family centered Farmers Market, which includes a monthly Kid’s Garden Club and free horseback riding.

With each small success, we’ve grown closer to our community, turning dreams into vibrant realities.

Each milestone in our story marks a moment of joy and growth.
